What to Expect

The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of the denim washing production process, ensuring that operations run smoothly, meet production targets, and adhere to quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of denim washing processes, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

What You’ll Do

  1. Production Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement production schedules to meet production targets and customer demands.
    • Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
    • Ensure optimal utilization of resources including manpower, machinery, and materials.
  2. Quality Control
    • Establish and maintain quality control standards for all washing processes.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from quality standards.
  3. Team Management
    • Lead, train, and motivate a team of supervisors, technicians, and production workers.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to improve staff performance.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  4. Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to incorporate best practices.
    • Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to develop new washing techniques and products.
  5. Health and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the production facility.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
    • Implement safety measures to minimize risks and accidents.
  6. Inventory and Supply Chain Management
    • Manage inventory levels to ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials.
    • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain a consistent supply chain.
    • Monitor and control production costs to meet budgetary requirements.
  7. Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare and present regular production reports to senior management.
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and quality control data.
    • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 12 years of experience in a production management role within the denim washing industry
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of denim washing techniques and processes.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Ability to analyze production data and make informed decisions.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
    • Proficiency in production management software and tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
