What to Expect

As the Head of Planning and Coordination in denim garments (40 Sewing Lines), you will be responsible for leading and managing the planning, production, and coordination activities within the denim garment division of our company. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring efficient production processes, timely delivery of products, and effective coordination between different departments and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Production Planning and Management
    • Develop production plans and schedules for denim garment manufacturing, ensuring optimal resource utilization and timely delivery.
    • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
    • Coordinate with the production team to resolve any issues that may affect production schedules or quality.
  • Supply Chain Coordination
    • Oversee the procurement of raw materials and supplies necessary for denim garment production.
    • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
    • Work closely with the logistics team to streamline transportation and distribution of finished denim garments.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that denim garments meet company and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistency in product quality.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead a team of planning, production, and coordination professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training as needed.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution
    • Develop strategic initiatives and operational plans to achieve company goals and objects related to denim garment production.
    • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management
    • Prepare and manage budgets for the denim garments division, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
    • Monitor expenses related to production, logistics, and quality control, implementing cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Reporting and Analytics
    • Prepare regular reports and performance metrics for senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
    • Utilize data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimize operational processes within the denim garment division.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience (typically min. 12 years+) in a managerial level role within the denim garment manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of production planning, supply chain management, and quality assurance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and other relevant software applications used in production planning and management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in denim garments manufacturing.

Working Conditions

  • The role may require occasional travel to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or trade shows.
  • Flexible working hours may be necessary to accommodate production schedules and deadlines.
